Lori Evans Ermi is the founder and Managing Director of The Ermi Group, LLC, a leadership coaching and development firm. After over 25 years in corporate leadership roles, including Fortune 100 organizations, Lori is dedicated to working with companies with a commitment to grow and who recognize the need to prepare their emerging leaders for tomorrow.
Lori's expertise is broad and deep leading both HR and line functions. Industry experience includes life sciences/bio tech/pharma, consumer products, IT government contractors, financial services, federal agencies, non-profits and academia; from start up, 8 (a), mid-stage to Fortune 100, private and public. She specializes in leadership coaching and development, team effectiveness, change management, human capital strategy, and Leading Millennials.
Lori achieved her BA from Lynchburg College in Virginia and is a graduate of the renowned Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certification masters program. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute, and SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SCP). She has also completed certificate programs from Villanova University, Xavier University, and InsideOut® Coaching Advantage.
She holds additional certifications in OD methodologies and practices, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, The Hogan®, Conversational Norms Diagnostic, and 360's such as The Leadership Circle Profile®, Lominger Voices®, and Personnel Decisions International®. She has completed many training and facilitation seminars/certifications/courses such as The Bob Pike Group, Otto Kroeger Associates, Magus Group Coaching, and The Grove Consultants International.
Lori spent many years with The Procter & Gamble Company as a 'fast track' high potential candidate. She built her expertise in sales, marketing and all aspects of HR and leadership development, culminating in heading high performance teams as a global Senior HR Manager. She was fortunate to have been exposed to best practices and first-in-class initiatives around the world in her time at P&G, and was given responsibility for developing and executing major change initiatives.
As Director of Talent Development at Fannie Mae, she owned the talent and performance management strategies, the coaching program and executive development program design. As Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for a DC-based IT government contractor, she led HR, Staffing, Marketing, Corporate Communications and Administration while serving on the Executive Team and as a corporate Officer. She interfaced with the Board of Directors on all HR strategies, including acquisitions, compensation, corporate culture, talent, and development.
Additionally, she has coached thousands of leaders globally, and led initiatives in career development, management principles, strategic planning/training/facilitation, conflict resolution, and global/cross-functional team development and leading millennials.
She is a coach with the award winning NoVA/Dulles SHRM Mentoring Program and a mentor coach and assessor for the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certificate Program.
She is a sought after speaker and has conducted keynotes and programs for many SHRM chapters, Leadership Arlington, WTPF, The Women's Center, HRLA, HR Bioscience Alliance, The Human Capital Institute and The Kevin Eikenberry Group.
Lori has a passion for service and giving back. She has volunteered her time with the Montgomery County Corrections Facilities providing coaching to inmates that are re-entering the workforce. She also provides pro bono services to non-profits and people with limited resources to assist in creating a better future for themselves. Lori served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Damascus Road Community Church in Mt. Airy, MD, is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Trinity School of Frederick, and past member of the Alumni Board of Lynchburg College.
She lives in the Washington, DC suburbs of Maryland with her husband Todd, and 10 year old Kate, and has launched her own millennial, Lexie. She enjoys golf, theater, music and wine country.
