We are often asked, "What is your least favorite type of client?" That is actually an easy answer. "The client who does not want to be coached. They can stay the same all by themselves, they do not need us." If you choose The Ermi Group, you will not stay the same.
The Ermi Group coaches are all certified through the International Coach Federation. Managing Director, Lori Evans Ermi is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through ICF and achieved her training through the prestigious Georgetown University program. Lori has been coaching leaders and teams for over 25 years. After over 25 years in corporate roles including sales, marketing, training, organization development and HR leadership positions, she has the experience to raise the game of many leaders. Her approach to coaching is of encourager, supporter, facilitator, truth-teller, empathizer, and questioner. Lori is a relationship-oriented professional that creates a safe environment for the client. Through confidential sessions (either face-to-face or phone) the client sets the goals and agenda, the coach uses techniques to stretch thinking and assist in creating new observations, including self-assessment instruments and 360 feedback. Through the coaching engagement (typically 10-15 sessions over a 6-9 month period) the client becomes aware of what they are currently doing/being, how they are perceived, recognize what they do well, what isn't working and makes commitments to shift behaviors and incorporate practices to increase effectiveness. Blind spots are revealed, self-awareness increases so self-management strategies can be co-created.
Most leaders live in their head, so we use neuroscience as a foundation to behavior change. We work to align body and emotions to the cognitive. The focus is on the whole client.
Organizations are constantly evolving entities and coaching keeps its leaders and teams growing, motivated, and in check. Communication, executive presence, and influence are target concepts. She has been inspired by and worked with leaders at all levels, including the "C" suite and Fortune 100 companies. Lori is a mentor and developer of emerging leaders: those individuals who strive to be the executives of tomorrow, and are currently high potentials and fast-trackers. In fact, former high potential clients include the current Chief Technology Officer of a large, global consumer products company and the Chief Marketing Officer of another global consumer products corporation. Leadership coaching is an intensive commitment to stretch, grow, shift and transform. Its unique 1:1 format can be much more effective than group leadership training programs.
